THE OPPORTUNITY
Ember Coffee Company, a Minnesota-based roaster, has built a reputation for carefully sourced beans and a commitment to craft. But as their distribution grew, Ember needed packaging that could truly stand out. The designs had to catch the eye on a crowded shelf while staying true to their brand story. With an increased budget, Ember set out to elevate its packaging to reflect the quality inside each bag. The new look needed to feel premium, spark curiosity, and celebrate the company’s Minnesota roots.
THE SOLUTION
We designed a fresh series of illustrations that highlight the spirit of Minnesota: its lakes, forests, and northern skies. Drawing inspiration from Ember’s dedication to craft and place, we created bold, modern packaging that combines storytelling with shelf impact. The result: a design system that not only reflects where Ember comes from but ensures their coffee is impossible to overlook.
